Is robotic surgery the best way?

     The use of robotic surgery has been a good solution to solve many problems in medicals area. There are many advantages to do a robotic surgery like less bleeding, short time in hospitalization, less risk of infection, elimination of tremors and the patient can have a faster recovery in that process than in the others.

     In Brazil we've had the firsts robotic surgery and it has been a success, however it’s still in a little number because of our technologycal limitation, but in countries more developed than us like the United States are more common in many cases the use of robotic surgery.

     This seems to be the solution for many things, even the society gains with the surgical robots, because with less time in hospital and quicker recovery patients submitted in complex surgery come back for their activities soon, spending less money for healthy systems. And this seems to be easy, but it’s not, for example, if the surgeon doesn’t know how to use the equipment, in a surgery that should be fast, he can spend more time than in a normal surgery. Another discussion about robotic surgery it’s about the human’s side. We know that this method will eliminate many people who work in a operation room, they will be no more necessary. However, this is not the first time that the humans are substitutes by robots and perhaps this is the price that we have to pay for the modernization and facilities.

Hi, my name is Mirella, I’m nineteen and I’m on the third period of the course bacharelado in Science and Technology. I’m a person extremely funny and I love all kinds of musics, principally forró. I practice physics exercises during the week and my hobby is to talk with my friends on internet.

Biotechnology

Biotechnology is defined as the use of technologies and techniques in search of modification or improvement of genetic characteristics of living being. In other words, the search for knowledge related to the use of living organisms to obtain better materials and products, can be consider a concept for this term.

An example of biotechnology is ethanol, since its production is related to biological modification of greenery material such as corn, soybean, sunflower and sugarcane.

Biotecnologia

A biotecnologia define-se como o uso de tecnologias e técnicas na busca da modificação ou aperfeiçoamento das características genéticas dos seres vivos. Em outras palavras, a busca pelo conhecimento relacionado ao uso de organismos vivos para obtenção de materiais e produtos cada vez melhores, pode ser considerado um conceito para esse termo.

Um exemplo de biotecnologia é o etanol, visto que sua produção está relacionada à modificação biológica de materiais vegetais, como milho, soja, girassol e cana de açúcar.
